The track preceding "God Still Heals" is a spoken word testimony which, after a short intro from Donald Lawrence, leaves DeWayne to tell of his own encounter with the Lord's healing power. On the track Dewayne testified, "Years ago I had gone into a doctor's office for a physical, just to kinda have things checked up - I was on the road - and when I went back in the very next week to get my results from the physical they called me in and told me I had tested positive for HIV.

Now this was in I went through all the treatments that there were - now back in that day they were still trying to test out things. So I went through all of the years 'til I decided I couldn't do it with the treatments, I couldn't go to the doctor, I couldn't do it because if I was going to sing about God being a healer I wanted him to do it. If I was going to be a worshipper I wanted God to keep his promise. So I sought his way.

Then in I went back for a check up to see what was going on and they asked me all the questions they needed to ask me and then they said, 'Well, you can go home, you've tested negative, thank you for coming.

He allowed me to give hope to a lot of people out there, and trusted me to spread the news that he is still a healer, all-powerful and all-knowing. We can never really know why these things happen. Yes, your statement is bashing and judgmental.

Do you ask people what they did to get cancer? From your statement it seems to me that you need to follow your own advice and ask for repentance for your ignorance. I have faith my heavenly will heal me and I will be a testimony to others please pray for me i want to do as God want.

My name is judith and for the others dont lose faith God is with us. Im a minster, Im married, and I have two children. My wife is negative and I dont know how long Ive been infected. The only symptoms I was having is swollen nodes in my neck and on and off night sweat which I have had to 10 years.

Im thankful that my children and wife are negative but now I have to adjust my lifestyle in fear of infecting my family. I know that God is a healer and I blieve that he is going to heal me.

Im trusting Gods perfect will is done in my life and prays he heals me from this. But Diabetes is a disease that is very hard to live with. DeWayne you have inspired me and I want to encourage all of you to keep trusting God.

I also wanted to say before I even got diagnosed with Diabets I told the devil the buck stops with me I already rebuked the generational curse so I am still trusting and believing that God can and will heal me. I dot have to tell you, i know that you all know that Jesus Heals!! I know that you all also know that he loves us all and does not want us to suffer. He died so that we might live healthy ad strong.

After the life I have lived, it is by his grace and mercy that i do not have hiv. I writing to inform you of the process you are going through.

I truly believe God is making us fit for the tasK that he has for us. Will you trust him? Will you turn to him rather than get anxious and run to man? Im not saying to stop taking your meds Read his word and plant it in your hearts so that it might grow and the harvest be plentyful. Meditate on what he has said. Talk to the holy spirit, Jesus and God. HIs word does not come back void. As previously stated I myself do not have what you have but i have somthing different. I thank him for the process and that he makes me strong and nothing of my own doing.

The song that speaks of turning over all your problems to God and finding peace and comfort from Him, has hit home for so many people Letting go is something that Woods knows all too well as he had to do exactly that in order to overcome what could have been a death sentence.

Woods was diagnosed with the HIV virus years ago and by "letting go" and turning towards God he states he received a miracle and is now HIV free. I caught up with this very personable and warm young man recently to talk about everything You have been singing for a long time right?

Kee "Show Up" album or they will go did you sing with Byron Cage? I produced the background vocals for the "Prince of Praise" album. So I have been singing in the business for quite a while now. DW They are out of Kansas City, 23 singers and they are all hand picked. They are featured on the project and they are just a phenomenal group. In I picked a bunch of my friends to perform at a concert that I was over and when we got together for rehearsal things just locked.

So when we got together and performed on the first night we were joking and saying 'well we are all singers and we're coming together so why not when singers meet' and we used it to introduce the group at the concert and it just stuck.

DW Laughs I'm really glad that it has blessed you the way that it has. Well the song was written by P. Morton the son of Bishop Paul S. Morton and he produced the song. The day that I went into his office he played this song for me and I was like P.

I don't know where it was birth out of for him but when I was standing at the mic and I was singing it the passion that came across for me were just the things I had to deal with especially with me being sick.

Just deciding you know what God I'm going to let go and I'm gonna let you handle this situation. I know that I can't do anything more than speak your word and live off the promises that you gave me. Knowing that all things will work together for the good of those that love you.

So I let all of that come across in the way that I sang the song. I'm just really glad about that. It's really the truth that when you let go and let God things will turn around in your life. DW That's right. G B Now are you completely cured? I'm sure you are on some type of medication now right? DW I am not. I am not on any medications. I am completely healed and I go back often for a check up and it's not a lack of faith it's just that you want to make sure that while you are giving out this type of testimony that things continue to stay documented.

I was diagnosed and the same doctor that diagnosed me treated me for many years. So one day I just went to the doctor and I said you know what God I believe you and if I'm gonna sing about you being a healer then I believe that you have the ability to heal me. So I'm the type of person that when you change your passion and you decide you are gonna really give everything over to God it pushes Him to work on your behalf.

That's exactly what happened. I would sometimes be the only one awake and I would just sing to the Lord. I just felt the Lord really begin to work in my body. When you really believe and trust God completely he will work wonders in your life. I went back to the doctor a few years later and the same doctor who diagnosed me ran the test and sat me down and said 'Well you tested negative" and it baffled them. G B What kind of treatment did you take prior to that?

DW I was on all kinds of different types of medications the normal AZT and all of that but after a long period of time I started on a holistic approach.
